Who can remember all the wacky acronymns we had at AMI? I think my favorites were "PIES team" (for Product Information Education and Services) and the "VCA Project" (for Value Chain Alignment). Yours? Award goes to whoever remembers the most obscure or the most ridiculous... -Bob Harrell

I liked all the field acronyms like CUD, BUD and DAM SPUD. Can't remember what DAM SPUD actually stood for but it cracked me up. :)

DAM stood for "Decision Analytic Model" It was an excel spread sheet "model" used as part of the HECON team (I think)

My all time favorite is IRC (Information Resource Center). David Market commented that it really should have been "IFL" (It's a friggin LIBRARY!) - except he didn't say 'friggin'. Jim Leming

Yes, IFL is a classic (Forgive me Bev and Jen Klein!). The Andersen Consulting (AKA Accenture) contract must have included bonus clause for each new acronym they could generate for the company. It was funny because when new people joined the company, we literally had to give them a handbook and glossary to take to meetings for the first few months so they could decipher all the jargon and understand what the heck people were talking about. Priceless.
